Where did the time go?!?!

WOW! Where did the time go? I mean… it has been over 7 months since I sat down to write a Blog post. So much has happened, that I guess I should fill you in.

First things first, I started a new job at the end of February. It started off as a temporary position, but turned into a permanent one this summer. I have the BEST BOSS EVER, and I get to work remotely from home. My duties have varied over the past 7 months, which has kept it fresh, interesting, and just challenging enough to keep me engaged, but not stressed out.

Next, I had the Wedding of My Dreams at the end of June. It truly was absolutely amazing. I spent every waking moment planning that wedding, and now I don't know what to do with all that extra time. Unfortunately, I haven't found the next creative outlet, but I have been a pretty good wife and mother since then. LOL

Right after the wedding we went to Mexico on our Honeymoon. We stayed at the Valentin Imperial resort, which is adults only. Besides being incredibly hot, (and being a super sensitive white girl who has to stay covered in sunscreen), we really enjoyed ourselves. We had the privilege package which came with great perks: in room liquor bottles, a cabana on the beach and by the pool, lobster for dinner every night, plus more. The water in all the pools felt just like bath water, and since we had a swim up suite, we didn't have to go far to enjoy one. We did excursions where we got to go snorkeling in a National Park coral reef, an ocean inlet, and a canote. We also got to go ziplining (out of very scary tri-framed wooden towers that stood above the canopy tops and swayed in the wind), and we went 4-wheeling through the jungle. The funniest part of the whole trip was the night my husband wanted to take a bath in the large two person tub. As he was filling the tub with water and bubble bath, I hopped in the shower first to wash my hair (as you can't get the same silkiness from a bath job as you can the shower). As I was rinsing the conditioner out of my hair, he decided to turn on the jacuzzi jets. What happened after that was pure cinematic genius!!! The water level wasn't high enough, and half of the jets were pointed up. This meant that at the very moment he turned the jets on, streams of water got blasted up into his face, up into his butt crack, into the air, and all over the walls, ceiling and floor!!! OMG! He was so scared that I literally found him squatting in the bathtub frantically trying to turn it off. Upon his face was the look of a scared little boy waiting for his mother to catch him doing something wrong!

Since the wedding, I have been pulling my Monday-Friday while trying to figure out what to do next. I have uploaded two videos, but have really lacked inspiration to do more. Forrest has told me to do an autobiographical video, but I don't know what direction I want it to take. My life is full of so many stories and tales, as most lives are. Do I want to tell the story about the brilliant child who screwed up in high school and has been trying to fight her way back? Do I want to tell the story about the Christian girl turned Black Sheep of the Family turned the Best Person in her Family? Do I want to tell the story of the promiscuous teenage drug addict who hit rock bottom and was saved by an Angel, who then built her whole life around that Angel, only to lose her Angel and feel lost without her?

I guess when it comes down to it, I am just not ready to tell my story. Well, at least not my whole story.
